Cerealia Festival received the "Cultura in Verde" award

Almost 3 thousand participants, 9 European countries, 250 Italian and European organizations, 23 events, 185 speakers, 20 Compraverde Awards, 20 GPP Academy Sessions. With these numbers, the States General of green purchasing closed.
The 19th edition of the Compraverde Buygreen Forum, promoted by the Ecosistemi Foundation, ended with the awarding of the Compraverde Buygreen Award: today the only recognition in our country dedicated to the best Italian GPP experiences. The Award was created in 2008 with the aim of highlighting the importance of the commitment to respect the application of minimum environmental criteria for true sustainability, on green canteens and related food education, on the zero-mile supply chain, on correct management of the waste cycle, on green choices and energy efficiency, moving from sustainable mobility, to tourism based on the circular economy to the reduction of carbon dioxide.
This year's edition saw the best Italian experiences awarded and - for the first time also the European ones - in the sections: GPP policy, green tender, green mensa, social procurement, green culture, vendor rating.

For the Green Culture section, the award went to the Cerealia Festival, of which the cultural association Music Theatre International - M.Th.I. ETS is the executive producer and coordinator of the Festival Network for: "the ongoing commitment to promoting the culture of sustainability through a festival spread on a national scale, capable of adapting and bringing good practices to different contexts. The Guidelines for sustainable events developed for the Festival represent a concrete and replicable example of an inclusive, participatory and low environmental impact cultural event".
