Born
in Turin in 1960, he completed his musical studies in Rome at
the “St. Cecilia” Conservatory, where he graduated in choir
conducting and piano with full marks cum laude and specialized at
the homonymous Academy, achieving an Advanced Chamber Music
Certificate studying with
M° Riccardo Brengola e Felix Ayo.
He has been awarded in many musical
competitions, such as the “Città di Roma”, the “Giovani Promesse” of
Taranto, the “Franz Schubert” of Moncalieri, Casale Monferrato, Finale
Ligure and many others. He specialized also with some
international artists and musicians, such as the conductor Massimo Pradella,
pianists Bruno
Canino and Gérard Wyss (Hochschule für Musik of Basilea),

(Indiana University), and, in chamber music with the violinist
Carlo Chiarappa.
In Italy he has performed, among
others for the Festival Romaeuropa, Accademia Filarmonica Romana, Festival
of S.
Margherita Ligure, Gioventù Musicale Italiana, Cantiere dell’Arte,
Concerti a Castel Sant’Angelo, Parioli Theatre, Euromusica (Ghione
Theatre of Rome), Theatres of Catanzaro and Oristano, Locride's Concerts, Orvieto, Festival
of Ostia Antica, Tempio of Paestum,
Festival of Villa Adriana, Villa d’Este, Festival of Tagliacozzo,
Bellini Theatre and Sannazzaro Theatre of Neaple, Folkstudio pf Rome
and many others.
He has
performed in concerts worldwide, both as soloist and in chamber esembles or
accompanying singers. To name a few: 4 United States tours, besides
Japan, Costa Rica, Israel, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany. In 2001
he played in Warsaw for the Centenary of the Philharmonic. In Italy
he has performed for institutions such as the Accademia Filarmonica
Romana and the Academy of St. Cecilia, not to mention festivals and
reviews of international level. He is
very active both as composer, chorus master and conductor of ancient
music ensembles. He
works as accompanist with the
“Ensemble Voci Italiane”. As chorus master he directed, among others,
the Petite Messe Solennelle di Rossini, Stabat
Mater by Caldara, Messe by Haydn, Mozart, Palestrina; chorus
master in the MThI's productions of Oedipus Rex by Stravinsky, Apollo et
Hyacinthus by Mozart, and “Juditha Triumphans” by
Vivaldi, she was also the composer of the choir music in the MThI's productions
Medea by Seneca and Le Baccanti by Euripide. |
