Nicola Campitelli. Born in 1978, he got his degree as flutist when he was eighteen years old, with the higher note at the Conservatorium “Luisa D’Annunzio” of Pescara, and later he got also the second level academic degree in musical studies with the higher note and summa cum laude. He developed his professional skills with Gianpaolo Pretto, M. Marasco, C. Bruneel and A. Persichilli attending the Italian Academy of Flute in Rome, where he got the degree with the “Premiere Prix à l’unanimité”.

In 1996 he won the third price at the  flute competition “I giovani talenti flautisti” promoted by Rotary Club and in 1998 he won the second price at the same competition in the category of Chamber Music. In 2001 he won the competition “Borse di studio S. Gazzelloni”. In 2002 he won the first Price at both national competitions of Chamber Music “G. Rospigliosi” and “Città di Grosseto”.

From 2000 to 2002 he has been the first flute in the Young Italian Orchestra of the Fiesole Music School, after winning two grants at this school. He has collaborated with many orchestra among which we mention the Tuscany Regional Orchestra, I Solisti of Pavia, the Symphony Orchestra A. Toscanini, the Young Janacek Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony Abruzzese Orchestra, the Solisti Aquilani, the Orchestra of Teatro Lirico Sperimentale of Spoleto, performing in prestigious Concert Halls (National Auditorium of Madrid, Berlin Konzerthaus, Auditorium of Rome, Teatro Comunale of Bologna,  Teatro Comunale of Florence, Auditorium “Il Lingotto” of Turin, London Cadogan Hall, Teatro Municipale of Rio de Janeiro, etc.), under the bottom of many conductors such as D. Gatti, G.G. Rath, C.M. Giulini, C. Abbado, Y. Ahronovitch, Z. Metha, G. Noseda,  A. Nanut, O. Maga, F. La Vecchia, G. Ferro, U. Benedetti Michelangeli. Most recently he performed as solo during the Concert Season of the Symphony Orchestra of Rome, playing the J. Ibert’s Concert, conducting M° Patrick Gallois at the Auditorium of Conciliazione in Rome. From 2003 to 2009 he has been the first flute of the Symphony Orchestra of Rome, which is supported by the Rome Foundation.
